Lorida fire dept was founded in 1968
The department had one brush truck with a pony motor pull rope start it was kept at someone's house. And when there was a fire the call would go though what was called the fire bar witch in simpler terms If someone called the Lorida Fire department, "The fire bar" it would ring the phones of everyone's house if you were not home or at work you did not know there was a call.
The first station to be built was station 24 on Highway 98 in Lorida. Some of the founding members are:
